About Disastershock

The Disastershock Global Volunteer Team (March - September, 2020) had members  from 27 countries. The team's mission was to translate Disastershock into different languages and rapidly disseminate free copies globally to the countries most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Professor Ning Tang, St. Joseph University, Macau, describes the formation of the teams for developing the Mandarin and Cantonese translations of the book Disastershock: How to Cope with the Emotional Stress of a Major Disaster.

Join Us

This is an international all-volunteer group of 101 persons representing 27 countries. Our mission is to help parents, educators, and caregivers of children to cope with disaster-related stress.  This is done through the global distribution of Disastershock: How to Cope with the Emotional Stress of a Major Disaster. The ebook version of Disastershock is available free on this website. Currently the English version is also available  at Amazon and AppleBooks. An Amazon paperback version is available at low cost (an Amazon requirement) for persons who want a hard copy (although Disastershock may be downloaded and printed for free). All proceeds are donated to global disaster relief.

If you would like to join our global volunteer team in providing translation into additional languages or assisting with distribution to different countries please contact us
