Progressive Muscle Relaxation, also known as Systematic Muscle Relaxation, is a classic meditation that teaches you how to relax your muscles using a two-step process. First, you tense particular muscle groups in your body. Then, you release the tension and notice how your muscles feel.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation, also known as Systematic Muscle relaxation, is a deep relaxation technique that can be performed in many different settings. Practicing progressive muscle relaxation several times per week has been shown to improve stress, anxiety, sleep, and pain. Follow along as Drs. Neda Gould and Dana DiRenzo demonstrate.
